Skilled Nursing
Skilled nursing helps bridge the gap between hospital and home. Did you know that if you qualify you can receive care right here at Loring Hospital or at your nursing home of choice? Most insurance companies require a three night hospital stay prior to skilled care admission.
Some skilled needs include:
- Rehabilitation: physical therapy, occupation therapy, speech therapy
- Medicare Administration Needs: IV antibiotics, IV diuretics, IV pain management
- Wound Care: dressing changes, medication application, lymphedema treatments
- Respiratory Needs: breathing treatments, respiratory percussion, bronchial hygiene
Hospice Suite
Loring Hospital's Hospice Suite is located at the far end of the hall, allowing our hospice patients and families privacy. Hospice patients are cared for by a team of professionals including your doctor, our nursing staff and contracted hospice staff who work with you and your family to provide expert and compassionate hospice care that includes personal care, assistance with emotional issues, spiritual support and bereavement services.
